Coming into the final, Jaie Toohey had qualified first with runs that included huge inverted 360's, double-whips and superman backflips. The following year, Toohey competed in his first UCI event, finishing 25 th at the World Cup round in Montpellier, France. His first major podium came at the 2021 Summer X Games, placing second in the Men's BMX Dirt Best Trick and fourth in the BMX Park Best Trick, while Montpellier was again the site of UCI success, with Toohey recording a top.
